Thanks in part to a Chargers scout and others who might have suggested Jackson change positions as he prepared for the NFL, from quarterback to wide receiver, we will never know how awesome his NFL Combine results would have been. Knowing what we know now about Lamar Jackson, with the Ravens quarterback shredding the league in a way that resulted in his domination of the voting for Sporting News' 2019 Offensive Player of the Year award, the obsession over the Louisville product's 40-yard dash ahead of the 2018 NFL Combine seems silly. ![]()
